Asim Kumar Barik has completed his B.Sc. (Tech) in Textile Technology from the University of Calcutta and Postgraduate in Textile Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He also holds a Diploma in Management from IGNOU.

He is a distinguished Textile Industry Leader with over 35 years of proven expertise in Spinning, Weaving, and Processing of fabrics. Over the course of his career, he has held top leadership positions including President and Chief Operating Officer in large integrated textile organizations and has been associated with reputed corporates such as Reliance Industries Limited & Maharaja Shree Umaid Mills Limited.

He has led and managed composite textile operations exceeding 1,00,000+ spindles and large Airjet weaving & processing capacities, driving modernization, automation, and large-scale expansion projects. Recognized for business turnaround excellence, operational restructuring, and sustainable profitability enhancement, he has consistently delivered improvements in productivity, quality benchmarks, energy optimization, and cost leadership across composite textile systems.
